CHARLESTON -- 165 used bulletproof vests belonging to the West Virginia State Police are getting a new lease on life while being put to good use.

The vests are being donated to the Armor of God Project. It's a program administered by Ten-Four ministries.

The group collects donated bulletproof vests with expired warranties, refurbishes them, and then distributes them to law enforcement officers who need them in the United States and allied countries.

Give some to Loomis none of them wears one because they cost too much. And Loomis does not provide them to their employees free. They do give a $100 credit for one but they cost between $500 and $1000 and are only good 5 years.
